My two friends and I booked this through Airbnb experiences and had a great time. Our tour guide was excellent, and everything from the silver workshop to the horse riding, food, and music was relaxing and enjoyable. Unique experience & would recommend.

A day in a Gaucho Tour in Buenos Aires
My gaucho tour started early with a comfortable pickup from Buenos Aires. The drive to San Antonio de Areco was the perfect chance to relax and enjoy the changing scenery — from city life to the wide-open fields of the Pampas.
Once there, I explored the charming gaucho town, where I got a real sense of local culture and history. Then came the horseback ride — it was my first time riding, but the guides were patient and made it easy for everyone to enjoy.
Later, I visited local artisans and saw how they create beautiful handmade leather goods and traditional crafts. From there, we toured a working cattle ranch (estancia), where I learned about daily life on the estancia and met the skilled gauchos who care for the land and animals.
The midday highlight was lunch: a delicious Argentine asado with perfectly grilled meats, chorizo, empanadas, and fresh salads — all enjoyed outdoors with new friends.
To finish the gaucho day trip in Buenos Aires, we watched a lively folk music and dance performance, and then a thrilling demonstration of the gauchos’ incredible horsemanship. It was amazing to see how in sync they were with their horses.
By the end of the day, I felt like I had truly experienced the soul of Argentina — nature, tradition, good food, yerba mate and warm hospitality.
