Camino Pampa
We are a team of local town people, that is passionate about our historical little town. We really enjoy showing the cultural legacy of Gauchos, argentinian traditions and local craftsmen and Fine Arts. Our objective is to bring visitors the best & genuine "Pampa Argentina" experience.
The developer of Camino Pampa, Guillermo González Guereño, belongs to a family with agricultural establishments. While living in Buenos Aires, he worked in global companies like American Express and Johnson & Johnson, and in Holding Companies like SADE and Perez Companc. He has studied journalism, photography, rural tourism, and has graduated with the university diplomas of Business Administration (UBA) and Master in Business Administration (CEMA).
Nowadays he participates actively in the social life of the San Antonio de Areco town, and is part of the Board of the “Tourism Association of San Antonio de Areco”. As well is involved in the support of two non-profit organizations: “Parque de Flora y Fauna Nativa Carlos Merti” and “Apropdis”.
For each person that contract a tour with Camino Pampa, we will donate U$S 2 to one of these organizations, chosen by the customers:
- - "APROPDIS": Association for the Promotion of the People with disabilities”. This is the only organization in San Antonio de Areco that provides a real job to people with disabilities. They manufacture “alpargatas”: the most typical shoes from gauchos.
- - Center for the native wildlife rehabilitation "Carlos Merti": Based in San Antonio de Areco, this is the first and only center in Argentina focused on rehabilitation of native animals. Since 1952 they have been producing studies about ecology and the interaction between native vegetation, native animals and local environment.
